The Communist Party of Vietnam and the cause of national liberation (1930-1975)
Abstract
In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Vietnam fell into a crisis regarding the path to national salvation and revolutionary leadership forces. In that context, the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh (Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh) resolutely went abroad and found the path to national salvation - the path off proletarian revolutionary. From Nguyen Ai Quoc’s creativity, the Communist Party of Vietnam was born in early 1930 with a correct Political Platform, becoming the decisive factor that led the nation from the victory of the August Revolution (1945) to the victories of the protracted resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism. With independent, self-reliant, and creative strategic thinking, the Party built the great national unity bloc, skillfully combining military, political, and diplomatic fronts to realize the aspiration “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom”, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
