Vietnamese literature and arts after 50 years of national reunification (1975-2025) - Emerging issues and development orientations

Abstract

Literature and arts have always played a pivotal role throughout the nation’s history. Literature and art not only serve as the voice of the national spirit but also as powerful instruments in ideological and cultural fronts, forming an essential force in the building and defense of the nation. Over the 50 years since national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), Vietnamese literature and arts have achieved remarkable accomplishments, contributing significantly to the development of an advanced culture deeply imbued with in national identity. At the same time, new challenges and orientations for growth have emerged, requiring careful consideration to guide Vietnamese literature and arts into the new era of national development.
