Ho Chi Minh’s application and creative development of Marxism-Leninism in socialist theory and the socialist revolution in Vietnam

Abstract

During the process of leading the Vietnamese revolution, Ho Chi Minh was always loyal to Marxism-Leninism, but with independence and autonomy, he absorbed the essence and objectives of socialism in a deeply insightful and innovative manner. His perceptions and ideology on socialism were always aligned with the fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism but were applied creatively to suit Vietnam’s unique realities. Ho Chi Minh did not define socialism through rigid, comprehensive criteria of a preconstructed ideal model. According to Ho Chi Minh, socialism was not merely an aspiration or an ideal but a progressive reality materialized step by step through the socialist construction and revolution in Vietnam.
