Abstract

In the history of Vietnamese intellectuals, Nguyen Van To stands out as a rare exemplar of the blend between a patriotic scholar’s intellect, a journalist, and a committed leader devoted to the nation’s revolutionary cause. From wholeheartedly promoting public education and organizing the movement to propagate the national language, to assuming important responsibilities in the revolutionary government such as Minister of Social Welfare, Head of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and he always demonstrated integrity and a spirit of service to the Fatherland. Nguyen Van To serves as a shining example of character, intellect, and loyalty, “even in sacrifice, his spirit will forever be glorious and immortal”.
