President Ho Chi Minh and the cause of liberating the South Vietnam and unifying the country
Abstract
At the end of the 1945-1954 anti-French resistant war, with his political sensitivity, Ho Chi Minh clearly recognized the plot of the American imperialists to replace the French to occupy Vietnam and Indochina. He, together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, led the army and people of the whole country to strive for the goal of peace and national unification according to the provisions of the Geneva Agreement, while at the same time preparing for the possibility of having to conduct a revolutionary war to fight against the US to save the country. The Party’s guidelines and Ho Chi Minh’s strategic thinking brought the cause of national salvation to complete victory for the goal of independence, peace and national unification
