Refuting misrepresentations of the causes behind the victory of the August Revolution of 1945

Abstract

Under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the people simultaneously rose up in a General Uprising, overthrowing the domination of fascists, colonialists, and feudalists, and establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 brought the Vietnamese people into an era of national independence associated with socialism, mastering the country and mastering their own destiny. Currently, in the context of the country entering a new era of development, hostile forces continue to distort, fabricate, and misrepresent historical truths, denying the achievements of the entire nation’s struggle; denying the leadership role of the Party in the August Revolution in 1945. The article presents scientific arguments and historical practices to refute the misrepresentation of the causes behind the victory of the August Revolution in 1945.
