The development of relations between Vietnam and Latin American countries
Abstract
The relations between Vietnam and Latin American countries have evolved over a long journey, from past bonds of solidarity to comprehensive cooperation today. Amid international volatility, Vietnam steadfastly pursues an independent, self-reliant foreign policy of multilateralization and diversification, prioritizing reliable friendship and partnership with all nations, including Latin American states. In turn, many Latin American countries hold goodwill and respect for Vietnam - a nation in Asia with a heroic history of national liberation and remarkable development achievements. Vietnam - Latin America relations are built on historical empathy in struggles, international solidarity, mutual support in revolutionary causes, and today are advancing strongly based on contemporary economic and strategic interests.
