Vietnam - Russian Federation cooperation on energy and defense technology in the new context

Abstract

Vietnam - Russian Federation relations are a bilateral relationship, formed on the basis of traditional, trustworthy and comprehensive cooperation. In particular, energy cooperation and defense technology play the role of two strategic pillars, clearly demonstrating national interests as well as complementing each other. Cooperation between the two countries is not only shaped by practical considerations, but also nurtured by historical depth, similar identities and long-term trust. In the context of many fluctuations in geopolitics, Vietnam identifies Russia as one of its priority strategic partners, especially in ensuring energy security and strengthening defense potential.
