Abstract

Abstract: The shared digital library model among universities is an inevitable trend to optimize resources and improve the quality of training and research in the context of digital transformation in education. A survey of 500 staff members from 88 university libraries shows that while the workforce has a solid professional foundation, they remain limited in foreign language proficiency, information security, and system interoperability. Training needs focus on digital library operations, information technology, soft skills, management, foreign languages, and legal-copyright knowledge. The paper proposes three groups of solutions: innovating interdisciplinary training programs linked to practice; providing intensive training in information technology, data standardization, artificial intelligence, and copyright management; and establishing an inter-university human resource network. The results aim to develop a modern, sustainable digital library ecosystem that will serve Vietnam’s higher education sector in the long term.
