Abstract

This study determines the influence of authentic leadership style on employee engagement and the performance of members in clubs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI). The author used convenient online sampling combined with face-to-face interviews. A total of 335 students participating in the clubs were surveyed, and 254 valid responses were collected for analysis. Three research hypotheses were proposed: authentic leadership style affects employee engagement, authentic leadership style affects performance, and employee engagement affects performance. The analysis results show that all three research hypotheses are accepted.
