This paper explores the potential, effectiveness, and challenges of AI applications in language teaching. AI enables personalized learning experiences, immediate feedback, and interactive learning environments, thereby enhancing students’ language acquisition and engagement. However, the increasing reliance on technology, ethical concerns related to privacy, and the changing role of educators present significant challenges that need to be addressed. The paper concludes that while AI has the potential to revolutionize language education, a balanced approach that combines AI with traditional teaching methods is essential to maximize its benefits while mitigating its risks.
