Using the method of teaching music reading for primary students to meet the 2018 General Education Program in Music

Abstract

Reading music is a content in the Music Curriculum for common students, including elementary school students. At the elementary level, reading music not only helps students read pitch and duration correctly, supports them in the process of learning singing, musical instruments, music theory… but also is important in developing the ability to hear, perceive and express music. In order for students to learn music reading content effectively, it is necessary to have methods for teaching music reading that are appropriate to their age and content while also meeting the requirements of the General Education Program 2018 – Music Subject.
