Abstract

This paper examines the relationship between levels of stress, depression, anxiety, and help-seeking behavior among high school students. The primary objective is to determine how these psychological factors influence the tendency to seek support, particularly from professional and non-professional sources. Utilizing assessment tools such as DASS-21 and GHSQ, the research found that high levels of stress, depression, and anxiety are closely associated with a decreased frequency of seeking help from formal sources. Conversely, students tend to rely more on friends and family in stressful situations. These findings suggest the need for intervention strategies to raise awareness about the importance of seeking professional help while minimizing barriers related to stigma and fear of judgment.
