Abstract

Attention has a special role in Sports, but currently no reliable work has been done to provide basic values in evaluating Vietnamese Sports. The study was conducted on Vovinam practitioners of different levels. Attention was assessed via a Continuous Performance Task (CPT) through brain waves assessed using the NeuroScan SynAmps Electroencephalography (EEG) assessment system. The results provide theoretical and practical bases in evaluating professional training and teaching processes. Experimental results show that there is a difference in the processing of stimulus signals between the two groups of subjects participating in the experiment. The higher training level group had better controlled stimulus response responses, recording greater cognitive and attentional control during the early stages of the sustained attention task. Overall, the higher the expertise, the greater the degree of flexibility in processing signals and responding to stimuli, and the better the ability for cognitive control to adapt to the required attentional task.
