The primary objective of the mathematics education program (December 2018) is to foster the development of students’ mathematical competencies, with a particular emphasis on mathematical reasoning and thinking. These competencies are foundational for the development of other mathematical abilities such as problem-solving and mathematical modeling. To enhance these abilities, it is essential to cultivate mathematical thinking, especially creative thinking among students. This paper proposes several strategies to develop creative thinking in grade 10 students within the context of teaching the chapter on “Coordinate Geometry in the Plane”
