Abstract

Reading comprehension skills not only help children grasp text content but also contribute to forming language capacity, supporting the acquisition of knowledge in other subjects. To solve this problem, we introduce some specific measures to develop reading comprehension skills for first grade students such as: role-playing method to stimulate creativity, tablecloth technique to enhance the ability to discuss and work in groups, along with the application of learning games and diverse exercise systems to motivate and practice reading skills. These measures help improve the quality of Vietnamese teaching, encourage students to actively participate and develop reading comprehension skills effectively, contributing to the goal of comprehensive education.
