Abstract

Reading culture, in the sense that it is a part of culture expressed through the habits, interests, and reading skills of everyone, is one of the driving forces for the formation of new people, knowledgeable and intelligent citizens who can adapt to the development of society based on the foundation of a knowledge-based economy. Developing a reading culture is creating the foundation of a learning society, of lifelong learning. Therefore, developing a reading culture for all classes of people in general, and students in particular, is an important, long-term requirement and task, requiring the attention and direction of state agencies, social organizations, especially universities.
