Abstract

The article presents the application of the study of the sense of being alone in Truyen Kieu (Nguyen Du) to teaching reading comprehension for students in teaching Literature in the general education program. In the research and teaching of Truyen Kieu, there has been much discussion about the technique of Nguyen Du’s inner monologue and that is one of the manifestations of the sense of being alone. Based on the requirements to be achieved, the lesson content of the excerpts of The Tale of Kieu taught in the general education program, the article will point out and analyze the manifestations of the sense of being alone, thereby helping students recognize the inner developments of the character Thuy Kieu, as well as the profound concepts and thoughts of the great poet Nguyen Du.
