Abstract

Language theories not only provide the foundation for language learning but also shape differing perspectives on grammar. While grammar is often regarded as a system of “rules,” these rules are not fixed and can vary depending on the context in which they are applied. Over time, grammar teaching methods have evolved from traditional approaches to more contemporary ones, with the functional-semantic approach proving particularly effective in systematizing grammar. This approach enables learners to not only understand but also use grammar flexibly and naturally in communication.
