Abstract

The study focuses on assessing the social activity participation needs of students at Khanh Hoa
University based on three key criteria: urgency, motivation, and satisfaction. The findings indicate that
students generally exhibit a moderate level of need for most social activities, with the notable exception
of the “Green Summer” volunteer program, which shows a higher demand. Differences in participation
needs are also evident across gender, academic departments, and cohorts. Overall, social engagement
remains a genuine need among students; however, the degree to which it is expressed largely depends on
emotional factors, personal preferences, and organizational conditions.
