Abstract
In the context of digital transformation in education, applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to
Physical Education (PE) teaching at universities is becoming an inevitable trend. This article presents the
theoretical basis and an overview of AI technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, chatbots,
and data analytics in physical education. Based on this foundation, the article proposes an integration
model including wearable devices, AI software, a student mobile application, and a lecturer dashboard.
This model enables personalized training plans, movement recognition, quantitative assessment, and
enhanced learning motivation. The article also analyzes the benefits, challenges, and practical solutions
for implementation in Vietnamese universities. The results indicate that AI has great potential to improve
the effectiveness of PE teaching toward modernization, personalization, and transparency, contributing
to the digital transformation of higher education
