Abstract
In the context of the 2018 general education program innovation, the application of digital
technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), in teaching primary school mathematics is becoming an
inevitable trend to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching. The article focuses on the organization
of teaching the lesson “Number lines, previous numbers, next numbers” (Math 2) with the support of AI,
considering this as evidence of the ability to integrate technology into basic knowledge content. When
using AI, teachers need to clearly define pedagogical goals, avoid abusing technology and underestimate
their guiding and guiding role. AI should be exploited as a tool to support individualized learning, create
interest and timely feedback for students. At the same time, teachers need to prepare technology skills and
choose appropriate content to ensure feasibility and effectiveness
