Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of movie dubbing activities in enhancing the English
speaking skills of B1-level students at Vietnam National University through an online Learning
Management System (LMS). The research addresses the lack of interaction and limited opportunities for
speaking practice in online learning environments. Findings from initial implementation indicate that
dubbing activities not only improve pronunciation, fluency, and confidence but also increase students’
motivation and engagement. Both teachers and students reported positive attitudes toward this innovative
approach, suggesting its potential as an effective tool for online speaking instruction
