Abstract
This paper examines the current state of social–emotional skills (SE skills) education for children
aged 5–6 in public preschools in Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi. The study was conducted in 10 public preschools
with the participation of 195 teachers and administrators. The findings indicate that the implementation
of objectives, content, methods, and organizational forms of SE skills education has reached a generally
good level; however, the degree of effectiveness varies across specific criteria. The results highlight the
need for appropriate measures to improve the quality of social–emotional skills education for children
aged 5–6 in the locality
