Abstract

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and deep international integration, science and
technology (S&T) and innovation play a crucial role in the sustainable development of higher education.
In recent years, Vinh University of Technical Education has achieved significant accomplishments in
scientific research, technology transfer, and innovative entrepreneurship. However, these activities still
face challenges such as limited resources, inadequate facilities, weak linkages with enterprises, and
insufficient participation of lecturers and students. The paper examines the current state of affairs,
identifies strategic development orientations, and proposes solutions aimed at further enhancing the role
of science, technology, and innovation at Vinh University of Technical Education in the new phase. The
study provides scientific arguments for strategic planning at Vinh University of Technical Education,
while affirming its central role in training, research, and contributing to socio-economic development in
the North Central region of Vietnam
