Abstract

ABSTRACT
The trend of historical novels in dialogue with historical data didn’t pay much attention to the “historical”
elements, but attached importance and upheld fiction elements following the point of view of aesthetic art in
order to deconstruct idols and to project about “new history” by personal experiences, without avoiding away
the hidden corners of history and it also went deeply into the field of culture and customs through apologetic
language classes to dialogue with the readers about the message of preserving the original cultural identity,
to bring into play spiritual cultural heritage of the nation and human values. The article delves into the study
of some artistic characteristics of the trend of historical novels in dialogue with historical documents. This
was also a new direction of historical discovery, contributing to the genre renewal, creating colorful pictures
in the development process of contemporary Vietnamese historical novels from 1986 to the present.
