Abstract

The students nowadays are the new generation who are so much interrelated with technology. This study is conducted to research the effect of flipped learning instruction on the writing achievement of non-English major students at the People Security Academy (PSA). Two groups of 50 non-English major students participated in this study. The experimental group was taught through flipped learning instruction while the control group was taught through the traditional method. The data were collected from the score of essay-writing tests (pre-test and post-test). Accordingly, there was a significant effect of flipped learning instruction on non-English major students’ writing achievements. Therefore, the implementation of the flipped learning instruction is highly recommended for teaching writing at PSA.
