Research on students’ perceptions of the online component of the blended learning English course

Abstract

This article aims at finding out students' feelings about the online learning component of an English course with the blended learning model. Understanding students' opinions on this issue helps teachers and technicians make certain adjustments to improve the online component of the course. Based on the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) model, the study used semi-structured interview questions with 20 freshmen, non-English majors who had just participated in this course. Research has shown that most students have a positive perception of online learning; however, the study also points out some limitations of the learning management system (LMS) related to these two skills: speaking and writing.
