A comparision study of proverbs related to plants in English and Vietnamese

Abstract

Proverbs and metaphor are so popular in both Vietnamese and many other languages. Using these in teaching and communicating helps to get the purpose of language effectively. In this article we can clearly understand the difference between proverbs and metaphor. Moreover, we will be have a big surpise when comparing some plant proverbs in English and Vietnamese.
