Applying Blended learning method to teaching and learning English

Abstract

The development of information technology today has positive effects on all areas of life in general and the field of education in particular. Thanks to technology, teaching and learning activities become more flexible. The form of teaching E-learning was born to meet the diverse learning needs of learners in terms of time, place, content and form of learning, meeting the needs of integrated education in Vietnam. However, after a period of application, this form of technology-based teaching still has certain limitations. A new teaching method that can overcome the disadvantages of E-learning is the Blended learning method - a method that combines the advantages of both traditional teaching and online teaching. The article presents the concept, advantages and disadvantages and the application of Blended learning in teaching English.
