Abstract

This study focuses on identifying the listening strategy use among first-year English students at the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University. Based on Oxford’s (1990) taxonomy of learning strategies, this research employs a quantitative method through questionnaires and analyses the data using SPSS from 225 students. Results indicate that memory, cognitive, and metacognitive strategies are prioritized.
