Abstract

Feedback is a commonly used intervention in the control and management of behavior in organizations and has been shown to be effective in a variety of contexts, including retail, manufacturing and services. service. This is a cost-effective and easy-to-implement strategy that improves performance. The primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of positive and corrective feedback in training behavioral skills and which type of feedback, positive or corrective, is preferred when learning how to proceed. preference assessment. The findings of the current study indicate that corrective feedback is useful in enhancing performance and assisting individuals in learning new skills. On the other hand, it has been found that positive feedback alone cannot bring about increased performance. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that as individuals become more proficient at a task, their feedback preferences change. It was found that individuals prefer corrective feedback when they have not yet mastered how to perform a skill, but once they have mastered it, they prefer positive feedback.
