Abstract

The most interesting point of the nursery rhyme is the cheerfulness and humor in the language and way of speaking. Epecifically, repetitive speech, or circular speech based on rhyming or a type of speech that has a melody but is obscure or has no meaning. It can be said that although the language used in nursery rhymes is simple, rustic, innocent and does not have high value in meaning, it is suitable for children’s way of speaking, thinking and psychological characteristics to help them to harmonize into the world around them, satisfying their need for play, thereby helping to develop language, especially enriching children’s vocabulary. In this article, the author analyzes: (1) The vocabulary characteristics of 3-4 year old MG children; (2) The role of nursery rhymes in the vocabulary development of 3 - 4 year old children; (3) Current status and proposed measures to develop vocabulary for MG children 3 - 4 years old through nursery rhymes.
