Abstract

Chinese Literature, Korean Literature, Japanese Literature or American English Literature... are mandatory courses for language majors at universities, through which students can grasp knowledge and understanding of culture, history as well as literature of countries around the world, forming the basic elements for humanities education. Through my teaching at Dong Nai University of Technology, I realized that most students are not really interested in foreign literature. Faced with that situation, I have thought a lot about how to create a love for the subject among students. Faced with many innovations in teaching and learning methods, I finally chose an effective method of teaching foreign literature in university classrooms with a new project. That is to train students in public acting skills, event organization, teamwork... through the method of theatricalizing literary works. This method brings a strong attraction to students, inspiring them to proactively learn about authors and literary works. They get to truly live with the characters of literary works, creating excitement and a very interesting and useful playground for students, helping foreign literature classes become new and lively. more dynamic.
