Survey of secondary school teachers’ opinions in Dong Thap province about Natural Science Education

Abstract

According to the 2018 General Education program, there will be no Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects at the lower secondary level, but instead will be Natural Sciences. Therefore, the Pedagogy of Natural Science was born, to training teachers to teach natural sciences in the direction of interdisciplinary integration, and able to undertake research work at research institutions, natural Sciences. The authors analyze the characteristics and requirements of the Pedagogy of Natural Sciences, survey the opinions of the insiders, who are secondary school teachers who have been teaching and will be teaching Natural Sciences. From there, propose solutions to foster and train professionals in Natural Sciences to improve the quality of general education.
