The improvement of active and passive listening for the students in People’s Police College II

Abstract

The students in The people police’s college II have faced with some problems when studying the listening skill. They realized that it was difficult to follow the pronunciation of the native speakers, to recognize the intonation and the stress and they were lack of time of obtaining this skill. Although the students have tried to follow the content and the homework in the coursebook Personal Best, they haven’t still known the way of self studying the listening skill. Therefore, this article suggests the literature of the active listening and passive listening, the problem of studying listening skill of the students in The people police colledge II and the solutions of applying active listening and passive listening which have been suitable to the students.
