Stem practice activity to build a piezoelectric generator

Abstract

Students learn how to build a simple piezoelectric generator to power LED lights. To do this, students incorporate into the circuit a piezoelectric element to convert the movements they create (mechanical energy) into electrical energy, which is stored in a capacitor (short-term battery). . After storing enough energy, the student will turn on the switch to light up the LED light. Students are also equipped with knowledge about how energy can be converted using new technology using piezoelectric materials.
