The classification of the causes of word usage errors among students learning basic English at University of Civil Engineering

Abstract

Vocabulary is a major obstacle for students studying General English at HUCE in speaking and writing skills. This study aims to point out the reasons why learners make errors in using words and classify those errors. Basing on that, the study offers some suggestions on updated and modern vocabulary teaching trends to improve students’ vocabulary ability.
