Measures to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning specialized English at universities in Vietnam

Abstract

A specialized foreign language is a language with specialized expertise in a narrow field. The system of specialized foreign language topics is associated with in-depth content of the major, with specific characteristics of each profession. This is not outside the general context of learning and using common foreign languages and specialized foreign languages. To be proficient in specialized English, learners must be fluent in common English to have a basis for linguistic knowledge, expression skills and cognitive skills to support specialized English.
