Abstract

The purpose of this article “Common challenges in academic writing of English-majored seniors at Tay Do University” was to examine the challenges that English-majored students face when writing academic papers. 78 English majors were chosen as participants. An interview with 5 extended questions was conducted and a questionnaire with 25 closed statements was distributed to participants. The study’s findings identified common challenges in academic writing, including grammar, vocabulary, sentence organization, and background knowledge.
