Developing mathematical communication competences for 7th graders through teaching the topic of Real numbers

Abstract

Developing mathematical communication competence for 7th grader is something that almost all teachers need to pay attention to and do widely and regularly. Meanwhile, the topic of real numbers - 7th grade Algebra requires students to rigorously and accurately present exercise solutions, creating conditions for them to demonstrate their ability to listen, speak, read and write numbers, contributing to developing their mathematical communication competence. In this article, measures are suggested to develop students' mathematical communication competence through teaching the topic of real numbers.
