Abstract

Social constructivist theory is a modern teaching perspective that requires learners to be proactive and active in learning, to independently explore and use new areas of knowledge based on experience and knowledge. With their own existing knowledge, the person being taught plays the role of designer of the organization of learning activities. In this study, we propose a procedure of using the social constructivist theory into the teaching of the topic “Coordinate method in space for grade 12” with the goal of forming and developing mathematical competencies of students to solve effectively geometric problems, and improving the quality of teaching - learning in high schools.
