Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between perceived parental psychological control and self-perception of personal identity in Vietnamese adolescents. The study sample included 120 Vietnamese adolescents aged 18 to 25 residing in Vietnam and abroad. The Adolescent Perceived Parental Psychological Control Scale (Barber, 1996b) and the Identity Process Questionnaire (Balistreri et al., 1995) were used to collect data.
