Abstract

Smart technology is essential in improving teaching and learning in higher education. This study explores the factors that influence student behavior in adopting smart technology in blended learning. Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model, a survey of 305 students was conducted to collect data. The findings show that smart technology adoption requires appropriate social context and organizational support. Furthermore, the data indicate that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, hedonic motivation, and habits are important in determining students’ behavioral intentions to use use smart technology. However, favorable conditions and price are said to have no significant impact on students’ behavioral intention to use smart technology. The research contributes to an improved understanding of the relationship between blended learning and smart technology, thereby improving the student experience in the learning environment.
