Abstract

This study explores the influence of parental communication styles on the development of children aged 2 to 6 years. During this critical developmental period, children experience significant changes in their cognitive, linguistic, and social abilities. Effective communication between parents and children plays a crucial role in shaping these developmental outcomes. This research examines various parental communication styles, including responsive, supportive, and directive approaches, and their impact on children’s language acquisition, emotional development, and social skills. By reviewing existing literature and empirical studies, the study highlights how different communication strategies contribute to children’s growth in areas such as self-awareness, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. The findings underscore the importance of positive and engaging parental communication in fostering a child’s overall development and well-being.
