Abstract

Self-driving vehicles are advanced systems designed to function and navigate independently, without the need for human intervention. They possess the ability to sense and assess their surrounding environment, allowing them to make informed decisions to travel to their destination in a consistent and secure way. This paper highlights that one of the key applications of image processing technology in autonomous vehicles is lane detection and tracking. By utilizing cameras, these vehicles can recognize and interpret lane markings, enabling them to adjust their path accordingly to ensure safe and efficient movement.
