Abstract
3 groups of criteria were identified to evaluate the effectiveness of extracurricular physical education and sports activities of students at People’s Security Academy in the 2023-2024 school year, including: Group of criteria to meet school physical education and sports; group of criteria to meet required goals; group of criteria to meet individual needs.
Extracurricular physical education and sports activities of People’s Security Academy students in the 2023-2024 school year compared to before have had positive changes that have been proven and brought about effectiveness, including: 1) The physical performance of students who participated in extracurricular activities was better than those who did not participate in extracurricular physical education and sports at p<0.05; 2) The rate of students who were attracted and switched to participating in extracurricular activities such as experimental group increased by 9.78%; 3) The number of students participating in sports teams increased by 2.20%; 4) Extracurricular activities in physical education and sports have met personal needs with t=2.55→6.80 at p<0.05; 6) Awareness of the role and positivity of students in participating in personal extracurricular activities in physical education and sports has been higher than in the previous school year.
