Abstract

The article presents the current situation of training in folk dance of the Mong, Dao, and
Kho Mu ethnic groups in Lao Cai, pointing out the achievements as well as the limitations in terms of
programs, textbooks, teaching staff - artisans and facilities. The training work is currently lacking in
standardization, the study time is shortened, the original materials are incomplete and the coordination
between the school and the community is not effective. From there, the article proposes solutions to
improve the quality of training such as building specialized programs, standardizing textbooks, enhancing
documentation - digitization, developing the team and expanding training links associated with cultural
tourism. These solutions contribute to the preservation and sustainable development of folk dance arts of
ethnic groups in Lao Cai
