Abstract

National Defense and Security Education for students has been identified by our Party as an
integral part of the national education system. It is implemented under the close, unified leadership,
direction, and organization from the central to the grassroots levels. The Resolution of the 3rd Plenum
of the 7th Party Central Committee clearly states: “It is necessary to strengthen National Defense and
Security Education for all people, especially for officials at all levels of the Party and the State, and for the
young generation of students and pupils.” Therefore, improving the quality of learning in General Military
Subjects under the National Defense and Security Education program for students plays a particularly
important role in the strategy of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
