Developing the competence to apply knowledge and skills through teaching STEM topics “Intelligent Periodic Table” – 10th Grade Chemistry

Abstract

Abstract: The representation and communication competencies are important competencies to develop for students in teaching chemistry. Developing the representation and communication competencies for students can be used in many ways, in which STEM teaching is being of interest. This article proposes measures to develop students’ representation and communication competencies through STEM teaching, with the topic “Intelligent Periodic Table”. The results of the pedagogical experiments were statistically processed, proving that STEM teaching has developed the representation and communication competencies for students.
